Kitchen Remodel Materials
It has always been my dream (or so I thought) to have the opportunity to design my own kitchen, picking out every single piece from the farmhouse sink to the backsplash. In hindsight, it’s amazing to have a kitchen that is 100% exactly what we wanted. However, during the process I was overwhelmed with how many decisions there were to make.
We wanted something that was timeless, would hold resale value, and fit our lifestyle and personalities without being too trendy. Our goal was to go minimal for the build and add pops up of color through decor that can easily be swapped out throughout the kitchen’s lifetime.
White seemed to be the best option to create this blank slate, but we wanted to make sure it felt bright and welcoming without being sterile like a doctor’s office. I have been really drawn to terracotta, natural bisque ceramic, and warm wood tones, and wanted to bring these elements in as a contrast.
I’ll go into more detail about the whole process later, but below is a recap of the materials we chose for the kitchen.
